The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online application process for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2027. Students seeking admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools can submit their application forms through the official NTA AISSEE admission portal.
The online application process began on 03 November 2026, and eligible candidates can apply until 02 December 2026. The entrance examination is scheduled to be held on 31 January 2027.

Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria (As on 31 March 2027)
Sainik School Class VI (6th) Admission
- Age Criteria: Candidate must be between 10 and 12 years of age as on 31 March 2027.
- Date of Birth Range: Born between 01 April 2015 and 31 March 2017 (both dates inclusive).
- Educational Qualification: Student should be currently studying in or passed Class V from a recognized school.
- Gender: Both Boys and Girls are eligible to apply for Class VI in all Sainik Schools.
Sainik School Class IX (9th) Admission
- Age Criteria: Candidate must be between 13 and 15 years of age as on 31 March 2027.
- Date of Birth Range: Born between 01 April 2012 and 31 March 2014 (both dates inclusive).
- Educational Qualification: Student must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school at the time of admission.
- Gender: Boys and Girls (subject to availability of vacant female seats in selected schools).
